Day 1 Colombo
Arrive at Colombo airport where you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Colombo for dinner and an overnight stay.
Overnight at HotelDay 2 Colombo – Anuradhapura
After an early breakfast proceed to the ancient city of Anuradhapura on route making a stop at the Muneswaram Sivam Temple. Lunch at a local restaurant. From here proceed to Anuradhapura and check in at the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Overnight at HotelDay 3 Anuradhapura – Jaffna
After breakfast proceed to Jaffna on route stopping at the Tirukketisvaram temple. Tirukketisvaram is one of five ishvarams dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva. Lunch at a local restaurant. From here proceed to Jaffna and check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Overnight at HotelDay 4 Jaffna
After breakfast take a tour of Jaffna to include a visit to the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil or Nallur Murugan Kovil is one of the most significant Hindu temples in the Jaffna District. The presiding deity is Lord Murugan in the form of the holy Vel. The idol of the Nallur Devi or goddess was given to the temple in the 10th century CE by the Chola queen Sembiyan Mahadevi, in the style of Sembian bronzes.
Overnight at HotelDay 5 Jaffna – Trincomalee
After breakfast proceed to the beach resort town of Trincomalee on route visit the Thiru Koneswaram Temple. Afterwards check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight at HotelDay 6 Trincomalee – Kandy
After breakfast proceed to Kandy on route visiting the Dambulla cave temples From here proceed to Kandy and experience a city tour. Afterwards check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Dambulla – Dambulla is famous for the five cave Temples on a rock. The first 03 caves are better, older and larger than the other two. Some caves dates to 1st C.B.C. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, statues of Gods and Kings are also found here.
Kandy – the hill capital. Venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism´s influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple´s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere. To Buddhist of Sri Lanka and the world, Kandy is one of the most sacred sites as it is the home of the "DaladaMaligawa" – Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Kandy surrounded by hills, the MahaweliRiver and the Virgin Forest, Kandy was well protected and was the last refuge of the Sri Lankan Kings. Today it is the center of Buddhism, Arts, Crafts and Culture. One would always return a second time to this beautiful city
Overnight at HotelDay 7 Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast proceed to the hill station of Nuwara Eliya. On route visit the Seetha Amman Temple. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya and check in at the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Nuwara Eliya – is 6200ft. above sea level. In 1826 some British Officers out on shooting chanced on Nuwara Eliya plains, and Sir Edward Barnes investigated on it. In 1828 a road constructed over the ridge at Ramboda Pass and a station for convalescent Soldiers was established. It was Sir Samuel Baker who fell under the spell of Nuwara Eliya, brought hounds, horses, cattle, sheep etc; and started a typical English farm here. The "Little England" of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night.
Overnight at HotelDay 8 Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast spend the full day at leisure.
Overnight at HotelDay 9 Nuwara Eliya – Colombo
After breakfast proceed to Colombo on route making a stop at Bentota for some water sports activities (optional extra). Afterwards arrive in Colombo and check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Overnight at HotelDay 10 Colombo
After breakfast spend a few hours at leisure and in the afternoon experience a city and shopping tour of Colombo. Afterwards return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Overnight at HotelDay 11 Colombo – Colombo Airport
After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to the airport for your flight back home.
